The new indoor skate park in Vologda is a game-changer for the local extreme sports community. Spanning 600 square meters of seamless wooden construction, this transformer skate complex is designed to meet the needs of riders at every level. Equipped with features that encourage both skill development and creative exploration, the park provides a year-round haven for skaters, regardless of the weather outside.
The initiative for this skate park came from a local entrepreneur and cycling enthusiast, highlighting the growing interest from businesses in skateboarding and other extreme sports in recent years. This investment in action sports demonstrates a positive trend in supporting vibrant and dynamic communities.

This project stands out as a rare example of professional skate park construction—a seamless plywood skate park. Its surface is entirely smooth and joint-free, creating an exceptionally even and fluid riding experience.

All elements, including the surfaces, copings, and structural components, are pre-fabricated at XSA’s production facility and delivered to the site as modular components. The park is then assembled on-site by XSA’s expert builders, ensuring precision and quality. This level of expertise is why XSA exclusively constructs skate parks as full-cycle projects, refraining from working on external design documentation.

The entrance area features a series of quarters seamlessly transitioning into a plaza with a euro gap. At the center is a beginner-friendly rail for learning tricks, flanked by grind boxes that guide riders through the transit zones to two main areas: an open bowl with pockets and a wall ride, and a quarter with a book feature. The book's configuration can be adjusted by removing or swapping the rail and edge elements.

Each feature in the park offers unique depth, while the overall design incorporates a wave-like amplitude. This influenced the structure of the facility itself, with ceiling heights ranging from 4 to 6 meters, accommodating the dynamic and varied terrain of the park.
The new spot spans 600 square meters of wood, crafted by our team into a seamless skate complex transformer.
Enhancing youth quality of life and creating opportunities for a quick start in extreme sports are among XSA's top priorities. We’re thrilled to collaborate with passionate individuals like the client of this skate park, as building such facilities provides young people with spaces for both socialization and personal growth, whether physical or creative.

Indoor skate parks are particularly relevant in regions where climate conditions, especially in northern areas, limit year-round practice. These parks, equipped with lighting and heating systems, allow riders to pursue their passion without waiting for the next season.

Local riders had long expressed the need for such a facility, and we’re proud that this park will mark a new milestone in the development of Vologda’s extreme sports culture.
