sports hub & public space in Stavropol

Stavropol gave us a great opportunity to fully demonstrate that our vision aligns perfectly with modern urban trends and the desires of residents. Shchipakin Boulevard is a young district just starting its journey, so it was important not only to develop the available space but to establish a foundational architectural point that would set the tone for the entire neighborhood, and perhaps even the city.

The developer, with whom we partnered to realize this project, we understood the need to create a public space on the boulevard that caters to all ages. A key decision was not to separate areas “for adults” from those “for children.” Instead, we intentionally allowed the spaces to flow into each other, avoiding significant barriers for those wanting to transition between zones.

The result is a complex yet beautiful project, the kind that makes you think, “I wish this were in my city.” A balanced concrete skate park, a multidimensional pump track, and cosmic geoplastics—three zones with endless possibilities that will enable thousands of people—an entire district, or even the city—to diversify their leisure time, enhance social life, and simply enjoy having a quality, modern public space nearby.
Of course, we’re thrilled to have enriched this new space with truly dynamic forms and engaging architecture. But most importantly, we’re proud to play a role in shaping a new cityscape where people, their time, and their comfortable growth are the top priorities. Instead of typical solutions, we’re introducing architectural projects meticulously designed to cater to every interest of future visitors, offering them a space to fully unleash their creative and social potential.

ZONE 1. Asphalt Pump Track

The core idea behind the pump track design was to make it accessible for beginners who want to experience riding on varied terrain rather than flat surfaces. Its geometry is so user-friendly that anyone, even on a skateboard, could navigate it effortlessly—with a cup of coffee in hand
Unlike a concrete skate park, an asphalt pump track is less demanding on the rider’s skill level, making it accessible to a wider audience. Pump tracks offer opportunities for active recreation and sports, promoting physical development and health for people of all ages.

The addition of such a facility is especially valuable for new neighborhoods, which often lack spaces for active leisure.

The pump track on Shchipakin Boulevard is designed to suit everyone, from complete beginners to experienced riders dedicated to intensive training. Its large area (2,000 sq. m), length, and variety of trajectories ensure that even a large number of users can ride comfortably without interfering with one another.

We deliberately avoided covering the entire space with asphalt to prevent overheating under the scorching Stavropol sun. Instead, we incorporated islands of dense grass within the pump track, which also conceal internal water collection points for heavy rainfall. Grass, shrubs, and perimeter trees create additional shaded zones where riders can take a break and cool off.

Zone 2. Concrete skate park

The proportional harmony of the shapes and spacing between features are two key factors that enhance the flow and comfort of movement in the park. When these elements are balanced, riders can sense the park's internal rhythm and focus entirely on their movements and balance
This concrete skate park could easily have been the highlight of the space on its own, but its synergy with the two neighboring zones elevates it to an entirely new level.

The park’s harmonious proportions and spacing between elements are key to enhancing the flow and comfort of movement. When these factors are in balance, riders can feel the park's internal rhythm and focus on their own movements and balance. This creates the opportunity to ride a long, varied line across the park without pushing off—exactly the kind of experience we aimed to create.

Within 2,000 square meters of high-quality, perfectly polished concrete, we integrated four distinct sections:

  • a beginner-friendly bowl area with ample flat concrete for those just starting out and not yet ready for large radii.
  • a central zone with a safe air-training section and a perfectly designed funbox for skilled riders who love technical tricks and complex combos.
  • a street section featuring ledges, rails, curbs, and banks for fans of the "street" style.
  • a ramp with a spine for the most daring riders.

The entire park is surrounded by modern energy-efficient lighting, making it accessible for riding at any time of day.

Special attention was given to the skate park’s visual design, ensuring it is understated yet elegant. Functional color accents on select features allow riders to anticipate their next moves, even at high speeds.

Zone 3. children PLayground

A play area where everyone can create their own game while sharing a unified space that fosters creative exploration and self-discovery. We believe this positively shapes children’s character, making them more free-spirited, open to the world, and inspired to create
And finally, the third and most important zone for us: the play area for the youngest visitors.

This isn’t your typical playground with a slide and swings. It’s a children playground—a realm of open-ended play where the script is written by the imagination and creativity of its little adventurers.

The playground’s design mimics a natural landscape with mountains, geysers, and lakes, crowned by the five-meter "The King Mountain." This centerpiece seamlessly incorporates a climbing net, a rock wall, and a zipline. The variety of textures and shapes offers children a rich sensory experience, allowing them to explore the world through touch and play.
